Calcutta Univ-ersity announced the results of B.A, B.Sc and B.Com (general) Part III examinations under the 1+1+1 old system and the Part II examinations under the 2+1 system on Wednesday.
This year, the pass percentage in Part III examinations is 90.7 in B.A (a rise by 1.4 per cent), 95.7 in B.Sc (a rise by 0.5 per cent) and 93.6 in B.Com (a rise by 2.6 per cent). The pass percentage in Part II is 84.9, 87.9, and 91.2 in B.A, B.Sc and B.Com respectively. In 2008, 18,112 candidates appeared in B.A, 2,562 in B.Sc and 5,716 for B.Com. examination.
"This is the first year under the varsity regulations where students appeared under the 1+1+1 system," deputy controller of examination Debashish Biswas said.
