In line with the courses offered by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Bhubaneswar Stock Exchange (BhSE) will soon start a 3 months certificate course on capital market. The course, to be launched in next couple of weeks, is expected to help the finance professionals and investors in the state, sources said.

The course is a part of the awareness programme of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) which aims at involving more potential investors in share or equity business. Besides, it is expected to be a self help tool for the people interested to make a career as intermediaries in securities or capital market.

"This will be a value addition to the finance professionals and management students searching for jobs. It will also help general investors to do business wisely and understand the ways of the capital market better", Debaraj Biswal, chief executive officer (CEO), Bhubaneswar Stock Exchange said. The faculties for the course will include professionals from various management institutes, universities, trading practitioners and senior employees of the corporate houses.

BhSE intends to train at least 2 persons from every block of the state who in turn can properly guide the small and the rural investors. These people have shown interest to put a part of their savings into the equity channel.
