Confederation of Indian Industries Signs MoU With Besu,WBUT To Provide Training To Students

The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and Bengal Engineering and Science University (Besu) to provide soft skill training to the students who aspire to enter the software industry. Private software companies like HP, Acclairs, Metallogy have showed their interest to provide the soft skill training to the faculty members of some colleges and faculty members will impart the soft skill training to the students.

Speaking at a seminar organised by the CII Mr Debesh Das, state IT minister today said: “There is a need to augment students' skills before they join the industry.” Mr Saugat Mukherjee, regional director of the CII said: “We had already introduced soft skill-training programme at universities in other states like Madras and Andhra Pradesh and there are plans to include this training programme in other universities of our state.”
