Power Supply Hit In Murshidabad, Birbhum, Nadia, Burdwan and parts of Durgapur

The power situation in Murshidabad, Birbhum, Nadia, Burdwan and parts of Durgapur is grim as ten 220 KV high tension towers were uprooted following yesterday's Nor'wester, said Mr Ujjal Mukherjee CPRO, West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd.

He said four towers on the Bakreshwar-Satgachia 220 KV line, and three each on the Bakreshwar-Durgapur and Bakreshwar-Gokarna lines have been damaged, disrupting power supply in Murshidabad and Birbhum. He said three HT towers of Bakreshwar-Gokarno may be restored by Friday.
