State Environment Dept Would Conduct A Survey To Find Out Vehicles Which Has Complied With Pollution

The state environment department would conduct a survey to find out the number of vehicles which has complied with pollution under control certificate (PUCC) before its notification on "no PUCC no oil" comes into effect from 5 June.

According to the notification petrol pumps would not provide diesel to any vehicle which does not have a PUCC. However, after a meeting with police officers the environment department decided to conduct the survey on the rate of compliance by vehicle owners. Thereafter, a joint team comprising police, motor vehicles and pollution control board officials would conduct raids to nab offenders.
