The IIM-Calcutta will defer release of its final list of candidates by a week for admission in this academic year after the Supreme Court gave its nod for implementation of 27 per cent OBC quota in elite educational institutions.
"Awaiting official notification of the Human Resources Development Ministry, we have decided to defer the release of the list," IIM-C Director Shekhar Chaudhuri told PTI here.
He said once such notification is received, "we will decide on the operational details as to how to select OBC candidates".
Meanwhile, IIT, Kharagpur, authorities said they were awaiting the HRD Ministry's notification in the light of the apex court's order.
