Engineering students in the state no longer have to complain of a faculty deficit in their colleges. All they need to do is avail the EDUSAT interactive network that will provide regular classes conducted by professors and subject experts.
Come March and around 102 engineering colleges affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) will participate in this endeavour through local area network.
"The project will be unfurled with an interactive session scheduled to be held within 15 days. A number of experts will interact with students on selected topics. Colleges will be informed about the topics, names of experts, date and time of the classes," said Prof Ashok Ranjan Thakur, vice-chancellor, WBUT. Similar interactive sessions, lectures, and discussions will be held at regular intervals by the university.
