A panel of medical experts and doctors will provide answers to the queries.

Dr Rabin Chakraborty, Chief Consultant Cardiologist and Director, Cath Lab, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, said that the portal will be ready within a week.

Chakraborty said, "One can get information about any heart ailments, their nature, causes, treatment, etc. in this very portal."

He, however, voiced his concern about the increasing incidence of cardiac arrest among the people.

"Generally people around the age of 40 succumb to cardiac arrests. Thus, people have to be made aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle in order to cope with the menace," he claimed.

Chakraborty warned, "By 2015, India might become the capital of heart diseases." Thus, a healthy lifestyle, apart from stress management will go a long way in reducing heart related problems, he added.

The "healthy heart" initiative taken by the some of the cardiologists in the city has roped in several social leaders, teachers and social activists, who will spread awareness about heart problems and ways to prevent them.

Chakraborty further said that plans to launch such health related programmes in neighbouring states are also in the pipeline.

J Naik, Director, Interventional Cardiology, Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science, said, "It is important to make people aware about health hazards particularly those pertaining to the heart."

The doctors also claimed that Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics will be set up in some of the nursing homes of the city like Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Rabindranath Tagore International Institute Cardiac Science and B M Birla Heart Research Institute.

The person who has chest pain can be rushed to any of these clinics and information on his condition can be received.
