Intaglio 2007-08, the annual international business school meet of IIM Calcutta, is set to get bigger as knowledge partnerships have been planned with its counterparts from Ivy League and the best business schools across continents. The meet will be held on January 4-6, 2008.

The India Business Forum of the London Business School, a forum for global business leaders, leading academics, financiers, entrepreneurs and students, has confirmed that it will jointly work with Intaglio.

It has also opened up to corporate participation this year, with the launch of its new Corporate Quiz series, Curiosio. Executives from over 40 major corporate houses, including top investment banks, consulting firms and marketing majors, have already registered to take part in eight of the major events at Intaglio.

The meet has evolved into one of the best business meets of international standards, attracting participation from the best B-schools around the world. With some of the largest exclusive events, encompassing all facets of management, from finance to marketing, strategy to systems and operations, Intaglio is widely recognised as the best business meet in the country. As a testimonial to its best practices and highly professional execution, Intaglio has achieved the distinction of becoming the first event of its kind in the country to be ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Intaglio has witnessed some of the finest minds thought leaders and visionaries in their fields of work mesmerise participants with their insights into issues of national and international relevance.

In the past, Intaglio has been graced by some leading luminaries, including chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Wipro chief Azim Premji, educationist Mohanbir Shawney, Omkar Goswami, Manoj Kohli and Sunil Alagh among others. This year, Intaglio is expecting confirmation from several celebrated speakers from across the world.

Intaglio also launched its new website, www. iimc-intaglio.com, last week. "In just over a week, the Intaglio site has received thousands of hits from 22 countries, indicating interest from USA, Singapore, Australia, UK, France, Hong Kong and from even as far as Zambia and Mozambique. This clearly represents the stature of IIM-C and Intaglio in the eyes of the world," said Anurag Mishra, design coordinator.
