KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee on Tuesday sought intervention of Communication and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran to resolve the impasse following work-to-rule nationwide agitation by BSNL executives.
Bhattacharjee told reporters here "I have asked the MPs from West Bengal to take up the matter with Communication Minister immediately".
The Chief Minister's intervention came in the wake of disruption in telecom services across the state due to the stir.
However, state government officials said the Chief Minister personally enquired about the situation from the chief general manager of BSNL Kolkata circle.
Meanwhile, basic telecom services continued to affect computerised railway reservation system, mobile to landline and internet connectivity.
