Chief Election Commissioner B.B. Tandon will visit West Bengal tomorrow to take stock of preparations in the state where Assembly polls are due early next year. This is the second visit by the CEC to the state in a week.
During his visit, Mr Tandon will assess various aspects of revision of electoral rolls, coverage of Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC), polling booths and law and order situation in the state, EC sources said.
He will discuss with senior civil and police officials among other things the execution of non-bailable warrants, the sources said. The term of the West Bengal Assembly will expire on June 13.
